Oval portrait [ca. 1870-1890]. [ca. 1870-1890]

This envelope contains a glass oval portrait of a woman in a large black dress seated in a red plush chair at a red-draped table. The portrait is in a soft velveteen frame, the back of which reads "Miss Evelyn Wolcott." It seems likely that Miss Wolcott was the donor, not the subject of this portrait.
